sept hols !!

i actually have nothing much to write but quite long since we've posted and UOPA so yeah
but sept hols are finally here woo ! (but everyone probably gna study for EOYs and ac stuff and others maybe so not rlly holiday ahaha) so yeah jiayou to all of us and hopefully we get to finish everything on time and still get some rest

on a side note orange ribbon run (walk) quite fun hoho and unarmed combat is this saturday (which will no longer make sense if this is read after 6 oct) ha

yay hestia we survived ndc hehe good job everyone !!!!!!!!! \we are awesome people hehe te road marshallers too :) its all over yey lets do better next year!!!!

Campcraft Stuff

hello hestia!! 
(I tried typing this out in the WhatsApp group but it was too long so I decided to post it here instead)

There are a few things that we have to settle (?) for our squad's camp-craft stuff :)

Twine
The same people have always had to purchase/bring/cut the twine which the entire squad uses. Please take initiative to CUT AND BRING any twine you have leftover from last year's AC. Some people did not want to buy more twine (as a squad) because they still have twine leftover from AC. However, not everyone brought their twine to use. 
When we have used all the twine, we can order 30 rolls again from Popular ($3.25/person) and keep them in the squad locker. :)

Camp-craft test
We will be having a camp-craft test in August, and we will need at least 50% to get our camp-craft badge. Everything (except lamp lighting) will be tested. Do study for it and clarify with any of us if you are unsure of anything!

Tent-pitching
Some people are still unsure of some knots, or do not have a sense of urgency, or are unsure of what to do. Put in 101% of your effort - I can guarantee you that it will pay off eventually (whispers 10 minute record). If you are unsure of any knots, you can clarify them with the other 14 of us. We won't bite :D. Do read through the previous blog post about how to pitch the tent (posted before ATC). 
          - Practice all the knots at home and aim to tie them faster and faster!
          - Train your arm power at home when you are free!

Okay that's all jiayou hestia we can acheive many things together :)

Tent Pitching Record

hello hestia!!

Yesterday was quite a good day for us because we (the lonelies *cue lonely by akon*) managed to beat our tent pitching record! We've come so far since our first tent pitching session in Sec 1 (55 minutes for a tent with poor tension hoho), and I'm sure we can soar to greater heights in the near future! Let's continue working hard, and hopefully achieve 10 minutes for a 4-man tent :D

YAY HESTIA WE ACTUALLY PITCHED A TENT IN 12:39 MINS HEHE SO PROUD ALTHOUGH THIS TIME IS 6 PEOPLE PITCH A TENT BUT NEXT TIME WE SHALL BEAT THIS RECORD WITH ONLY 5 PEOPLE OKAY JIAYOU HESTIA . AND 1 +2 + 3 +9 IS 15 HEHEHEHEEHH

post title v weird ik but for the lack of a better title ok!!
so during ndc practice on tues, we actually hentak for 7 mins (woohoo) and i think none of us knew we could do that bc we were all like "eh 2 mins? 3? 4?" and if we didnt end up choosing to hentak for as long as we could we probably still wont know that we can actually hentak for so long.
and during friday's parade we all did 49 crunches (not all of them were proper ones but still) !!!

even though during both times not the full squad was present but i think as a full squad we can do even better yes
i still cant get over my post title if anyone has a better title help me change it ok
