HEY GUYS
I really have no idea what to post but here's a “friendly reminder" (evil laugh):
TODAY IS THE END OF SEPTEMBER HOLS!!!! (cries with yall)
Here's another "friendly reminder":
EYEs ARE STARTING IN ABOUT 10 DAYS!!!! (cries again)
Yall so smart I cry and I'm only halfway through revision *sigh*. Anyway enough about the wretched exams let's talk about NP. So last parade we didn't perform very well and got knocked down (I know this is kind of old but I'm sorry I nag a lot deal with it jkjk I just want to share ways which we can improve (??????) I feel like I'm becoming an ah mah sorry.
Okay so here goes...
1. Come up with a plan/schedule to practice our knots
So some of our squad mates are quite apt in tying knots (e.g. Victoria and Apoorva sorry I only noticed these two because I was in the same group as them last parade) so maybe we could have individual sessions to revise the knots with the rest? All of us know the knots well but we might take a longer time to tie them so maybe we could share and learn from each other more instead of just during parades or squad recess?
For example: Each person (e.g. the ones mentioned above) can be assigned to revise knots with two or three people twice a week during their own time (e.g. recess on another day, or after school) for maybe 3 weeks? Maybe after exams if we want to do this though.
2. https://sites.google.com/site/nassnpcc/npcc-syllabus/campcraft/knots-and-lashings/basic-knots
There's this NPCC website with most of the knots we have learnt so it is easy to revise knots on our own (e.g. screenshot them I mean we all have a phone right and there's Wi-Fi in school)
3. Distribution of manpower
Can we all spend one squad recess discussing and planning how we should distribute the manpower when we are pitching tents during camp-craft? Like maybe draw a table for 4-8 people and write what each person should do during the (extremely short) 30-40 minutes?
4. REVISE ON OUR OWN AT HOME
I know this one's obvious if you know what I'm going to say, kindly skip this whole paragraph to the end where's there's a smiley face. No one's going to check on you (like call you every 3 hours) to see if you are practicing but it is our responsibility to revise whatever we have learnt on our own. There are no excuses because we have a WHOLE WEEK (approximately 168 hours) to practice and we only need about half an hour to do so.
I'm very sorry if you became dizzy from reading such a long thing but I really hope we can improve together!!!
:)
